We have compiled information from all 26 public universities in South Africa into one central Location 

General Guide for Applying

1. Create an account on the university platform (Name, Surname, Phone, Email & ID may be required)
2. Add Demographic, School, Next of Kin and Further Requested Information
3. Provide Grade 11 Final Results (Grade 12 results will be automatically submitted next year)
4. Select Programs (Most universities allow between 2 to 3 selections)
5. Upload a Copy of your ID & Results
6. Pay Application fee if requested
7. Submit Application

Things You Should Know About

National Student Financial Aid Scheme

NSFAS is a bursary scheme funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training for those who do not have the financial means to fund their studies. Applicants qualify if there combined household income is below R350 000 per year

Central Applications Office

CAO is a centralized applications service for universities in KwaZulu-Natal. CAO Allows you to apply to UKZN, DUT, UNIZULU, MUT and 15 Private collages. Applying through CAO costs R250

Central Applications Clearing House

The Central Applications Clearing House is a service that provides an opportunity to learners who have not yet received a place to study. The portal opens up in January 2025.

National Benchmark Test

The National Benchmark Test is a exam used to assess the academic readiness of students for university similar to the American SATs. The NBTs are administered by the National Benchmark Test Project with UCT. There are 2 Tests, Academic and Quantitative Literacy (AQL) is a 3 hour multiple choice test which tests English and mathematical concepts. Mathematics Test (MAT) is a 3 hour multiple-choice test that tests Mathematics Core Concepts. There are no calculators allowed in the NBT Tests and Students can write in person or online. 24 out of the 26 universities may require NBTs to be written
